There is no question of anybody giving y ou the cold. You have caught it. May be you would say that some friend of family member who was suffering from it passed it on to you. But then we come across so many people either in the train, bus, office etc. and someone or the other does have cold. Unless you catch it you would not get it. In a way colds are not always bad. They are an attempt by the body to throw out some toxins. So don't be afraid.
Now coming to the remedy. If you take medicine it would disappear in a couple of days. But if you do not it may take long fortyeight hours.
The choice is yours.

It's the politicians. They're screwing everything else up, I wouldn't put it past them to give you a cold. Bas tards.
But I do have a little tidbit about the power of suggestion. The other day I felt perfectly well until I talked to somebody on the phone who was coughing and croaking and hacking and within an hour of hanging up, I started "feeling" the same way. Modern technology is really something, but it cannot transmit THAT kind of virus, LOL.
So, start telling yourself you're better, get lots of vitamin C and green veggies, a little Dayquil and Nyquil and you'll feel better in no time. At least from the cold. Sadly, the politicians will still be there.

It was my invisible pet dragon. ;)
Seriously though, common colds and other viruses are often 'given' to us by people we don't even know. They are airborne. I often catch them from random strangers who share an airplane or elevator with me, due to the recycled, enclosed airspace in those things.
And a great remedy for colds is homemade (not canned!) chicken soup with fresh parsley and garlic.
Vitamin C, elderberry tea, drinking fluids like juice, and rest help too!
The drugstore supplement called "Airborne" is an effective remedy too, but the chicken soup is cheaper!

The world is full of germs and people who don't remember to wash their hands, that is probably how you got the cold.
If you have a head cold, try eating something spicy .. the Korean, and Asian spices seem to work best for me .. it will open up your sinuses. Also hot soup (not necessarily spicy) will help your sinuses open up that's why there are so many old wives tales about Chicken soup.
If you have a stomach ache try taking ginger ale and letting it go flat, the sugar will give you a little temporary energy and ginger is excellent for nausea. (Also crackers or bread products will absorb acids in your stomach and help with nausea)
Good luck, I know being sick sucks!!

I didn't. I suppose I live countries away from you.
To get rid of it:
1) Drink a hot drink
2) Relax on your bed (Excuses!!)
3) Take an aspirin
4) Wear sth warm but not hot
5) Take some Vitamin C drop
6) If you don't feel better in 3 days visit your doctor

Nyquil is the best. It works best when you can devote over 8 hours of sleep though.
As far as who gave it to you, it was President Bush. As he is the source of all of America's problems.
