Well I wouldn't give them all of it anyway. If their child had just died, how would getting rich possibly help them to feel any better. Maybe I would pay for them to go away on a holiday after the funeral and get away from the grief for a while but no amount of money would bring their child back so no, unless they were really poor, I wouldn't. There are other causes I would give money to instead, people who actually need money because they live in poverty.

I would keep the money for myself and my family. But probably donate some to a charity or something.

I would feel bad for the family but there are thousands of families out there with terible problems, so why would this particular family get the money.

If I give a bit to a charity, then the money would help more people (widespread)

I would keep the money. If I did not know this family and they had a charity I would donate to it or if they did not I would donate to another worthy charity. There are so many people in the world in their situation and also people starving to death. You can't save/help them all so its best to donate some of your money (10%) to suitable charities and keep the rest. If these people were family or friends I would give them money to help but not all of it.

I'll give them some money and the other money i will donate them for other people. They probably need the money more than i do since i have a shelter and food. Many people dont have houses and food, so giving them the money will be better than to keep the money for me and buy luxury stuff.

no/yes

no cause if they saw you they would probably celebrate their winnings. all they would offer is their sympathy.

yes cause i've been there before. and the costs are high. very high.

with society now it is hard to just give. we see not giving as a sign that they don't care. in my experience everyone cares one way or another. if your going to give, don't expect anything in return. giving only gives you a personal high. its only when it becomes a group of people that give that a difference is made.

use your "givenness" with caution. even the same person who you help out will not return the favor.

First i would check to see what their $$$$$ look like,[ being a paralegal i have a way of checking] then i would sit and talk with them and ofter my shoulder and someone they can talk to no matter what time of day it is, and if i find they need $$$$$$ then i would give 1/2 of the $$$$$.

Considering I have comforted a complete stranger who had lost a family member before..

I would give them a good portion of the money, but I would keep a good sum for myself as well because I have two children.

So, all in all, I would give them some of the money and I would comfort them.

Hmm, that makes me think. I don't know what I'd do with that much money. But, seeing things like that really makes you think and consider the things that really matter. I believe I'd donate some of it, or give it anonymously.

Not all of it...In fact I'd anonymously pay for the childs funeral expenses and medical costs that remained unpaid...then donate some to the cause of the childs demise..or whatever they had that caused their death..in their family name...=)
