Yes, if appropriate...that is to say, if you haven't had a breast exam ever and you don't perform a monthly breast exam yourself, your GP BETTER examine your breasts and ask what part of your menstral cycle you are in when he or she examines you.

Your GP should perform a complete examination at least once and give you information on self-breast exams. You may prefer your OB/GYN specialist to perform your breast exams since they are doing other more private exams. Since you are pregnant from your other post, there are reasons other than breast cancer for such an exam. The enlargement and development of your breasts can be painful, can feel lumpy, you may have other "problems" that a careful examination could find. Most of these things are normal, there are very few concerns found in young, healthy women without a history of breast trauma or a family history of breast cancer.

At sixteen you do no longer want breast examination and any male regularly occurring practitioner taking that long, should be mentioned. Breast maximum cancers is extraordinary in females your age. it many times happens the two throughout the time of or after menopause so i do no longer even understand why any regularly occurring practitioner might learn your breast. have you ever instructed your mothers and dads approximately this. i'm sorry, yet i've got confidence this question is out of the norm simply by fact no regularly occurring practitioner has the time to take 3-4 hrs. he's has different sufferers you be conscious of. he's doing an injustice and it in basic terms takes a minute or 2. is this for actual? EDIT hi LoMcg. i'm ok, had a cuncusion and 7 staples in my head. I blacked out and have no reminiscence of what got here approximately. in accordance to my husband, i became out for 2 a million/2 hrs earlier coming too. exams are unfavorable. so i don't be conscious of what the heck got here approximately. How are you doing.

In the U.S. a male doctor whether a GP or a gynecologist can examine a lady's breasts but as the previous poster said an assistant or Nurse has to be in the room when they do it.

Yes, this is usually done (in America) with the nurse in the room.
