Hello everyone, and thank you for taking the time to read this..

I have a scenario that I would like to run past you all to possibly get some feedback, as there seems to be alot of informative people on this site.

so, here goes..

On September 17th I had sex with a man twice in one night. I am not on birth control, but he did use condoms.

On September 24th I got my period.

On or around (cant remember the exact date) October 6th we had sex again, and he used a condom again and pulled out when he came.

Now, it's October 26th and I still haven't gotten my period.

I'm not too worried about being pregnant from the time we had sex on October 6th due to the fact that he used a condom and pulled out, but would it be possible that I am pregnant from the time we had sex in September, even though I got my period 7 days later??? I only ask because I am late now!

I went to the doctors around the beginning of this week and got a pregnancy test that came back neg. (which would have been approx. 30 days after after we had sex in September) could it be possible that I am pregnant, and would it show up on a pregnancy test 30 days after the incident?

Sorry if these questions seem dumb, but I really just dont know, and it's a little frustrating.

Thank you all so much for taking the time.

Candy

it should have shown up on that test. . . now im not saying that there isnt a chance that it wasnt wrong and that you may still be pregnant, because you could be. But it seems highly unlikely. . . I have such an up and down period i can never just go by that. . you are only technically about a week late .. . dont sweat it too much. You guys used protection and thats awesome. Beucause the chance of you being pregnant now is way low.

There are a few reasons why your period is a little late, stress most definately can cause that, and the more you worry about this situation the later your period will come (i know that sucks! ) and also if your hormones are fluctuating more that normal, like if you dont regularly have sex, then all of a sudden youve started having it more, then that can certainly make it a little late. Becuase everyone knows when you have sex it releases certain hormones. . . .

I wouldnt worry to much just yet i would give it a week or so more. . . Im sure you will get it, and it sounds to me like its probably just the stress or the hormones!

Take care and let us know how everything turns out. . ..

:)

Hi Candy,

If you are really unsure go back and have another test, but the test you had before was neg, so chances are you are not. By stressing over this situatuin, your period can be delayed, sounds silly I know, but it is a fact. It sounds like you have done everything right. I would say dont worry. Pregnancy tests can pick up signs of pregnancy within days of conception now, and the doctors tests tend to be more accurate.
Dont panic. As daft as is sounds, try to stop worrying about it, as this can cause you to be late. I hope this helps.

I heard that although these cases are rare, but they do happen - a woman gets a period while already pregnant. But what difference does it make to you - from which of the two encounters you got pregnant? The most important thing is probably whether you are indeed pregnant, right? Judging by a long delay you might be. Although, sometimes when you're anxiously waiting for your period, it gets delayed. I guess it's psychological. Whether you are or aren't - best of luck to you.

Well, that is interesting thing. I think that you are not pregnant and I am 99% sure about it. The reason being that pregnancy test can detect pregnancy as early as after 8 days of fertilization. This test detects beta HCG by immunochromatographic method. So, according to my opinion there is nothing to worry about.

I too panick alot if my period is late even for 1 day....so i can imagine how u r feeling. My period had been delayed for more than a month.

1) My advice to u is to wait for few more days.( leats 10 more days)

2) Buy one of those Pregnency test's available in the Pharmacy's. (IT IREALLY WORKS) and c what the ruslt is.

Pls note that if u have ur period, then u can be sure that u r not pregenet. Gud luck...

You are thinking too much into it if you were pregnent then you wouldn't get any period after that sexual encounter but as you say you had a period after 7 days that means you're not pregnent as far as i can understand your question .. Moreover there are other symptoms of pregnancy like vomitting , feelin indiferrent in your stomach etc.

you were 7 days late last time so wait for 7 more days this month most of the tests they can do now days would either be yes your 100% pregnant or 100% not

If your period was on schedule and lasted for the normal amount of days that yours lasts, you have NOTHING to worry about! Dont stress yourself out.
