I am frustrated by this too. But I am also frustrated by all the helpful types who DO do the homework for these folks.
I often respond to requests for math help. I try to give hints, explain difficult concepts, or give a general outline of the solution, with the implied message being "you do the rest.". By the time I am done composing and posting my responses , three other people have "done" the problem and posted the solution already!
On the other hand, there is always the fun of coming up with creative responses to people who have given so little thought to their assignements that they post questions which read, in their entirety, like "Help! How do I do problem #16?????"

I also find it ridiculous. If someone read the material and needs help on a specific question, I don't have a problem with pointing the person in the right direction. However, I hate when people ask for summaries on books, want people to write papers for them, etc. I find it terrible how lazy some students have become. I just hope that when they try to get their coworkers to do work for them someday , it backfires on them. People need to take responsibility for their own work. Besides, it's not like reading a book once in a while will kill you; on the contrary, it would help to improve vocabulary, and might be an asset in improving people's grammar and spelling as well, which often leaves a great deal to be desired.
Ok, my angry rant is over. I just wish people would do their homework; no one will want to do it for them in college or anyplace else, so they shouldn't have people do it for them now.

I think it's okay if we ask a question like "Which countries were involved in WW2?" But I think those who ask, "Please can you write me a three hundred word essay on how London was impacted on the Blitz?" then I get annoyed. I do mu own homework. I'm doing my WW2 essay right now and I haven't even asked anyone for help so don't just assume all kids are like that because some are. Not all teens will ask the adults to do their homework for them.
If I need help with my homework then I ask me cousins for HELP. They help me but don't do it for me. I could ask people on here but if I did then I would waste five points. If I ask my cousins then I don't waste anything.
PS. my cousins are all A* students so that's why I get help from them. I'm taking A*-D exams because I'm also clever. It simply runs in my family and extended family.

I agree and do find it ridiculous. If they have time to come on this site and ask the question, why not look up their homework questions on line also? Just laziness I guess.

I think if someone needs help on one or maybe two questions it's not a big deal, I mean, there is the possibility that they genuinely not understand the question.
But, if it's someone asking every question on an assigment, then they can go do it themselves.

I do! It's a load of bull when someone will come on here and ask us to solve a math problem...or better yet, I read one last night that asked me to write a 200 word summery on something....Come on now..I do my own homework....they should do theirs.
