Hey - I'm 20, married with daughter, and I'm a thumb-sucker...
I have been sucking my thumb ever since I can remember - or to be more precise, ever since my mother made me give up sucking dummies at 8 years of age... ******** ROFL
I know this sort of a habit may seem crude, pathetic and maybe even vulgar to some of you, but I would like to get your opinions on adult thumb-sucking - believe me, there are HEAPS of us around! *wink*
...and honestly, at the end of the day - isnt sucking your thumb a much more docile addiction to have than alcohol or drugs?
Oh and of course, I still carry the same blankie to bed with me every night, that I had when I was born *g*

i sucked my thumb untill i was 11 years old. my grandma made me feel ashamed of what i was doing at 11. she told me its a very dirty habbit. i was always sneeking when noone was looking.but then i just stopped it on my own after a while.

My previous boss sucked her thumb. She sucked her left one collectively as she became writing and her perfect one something of the time - she's 30+ and has very comparable formed teeth as Josie! one in all my granddaughters in uncomplicated terms stopped while she became sixteen !

I do and, yes, you're right about it being a lot more popular than most know. What I hate about it is that it's not considered socially acceptable, even worse (socially) than smoking. I just think that's absurd. In fact, I think that if it was we'd have a lot less people smoking.
