it's called favoritism among friends. Alot of people have built a rapport with others or they know each other, so they will give the best answer to them. And yeah, it kinda makes you not want to try to give a really good answer because you feel ignored anyways, so why waste the time and energy I guess. It doesn't really bother me much, I guess. I just type and go with the flow and try to give best answers to those I know who helped me the most. whatever.

Yes. And it's for that very reason that I avoid going back to questions I've already answered unless my answer is actually chosen as "Best Answer." I try not to question reasoning behind why more of my answers aren't picked, because as others have said I have heard that this place can sometimes be a little clique-y (which seems ridiculous since it's an answer website and all), but ah well. It really is just a website after all, so I try not to let it bother me. :)

sure, it bugs me >< yet i think of i might particularly have no rankings than a gaggle of thumbs down. i'm going to admit, from time to time i do no longer value all of the solutions to my questions. If i think of the respond is neither good nor undesirable, then i've got confidence like it would be unfair to furnish it a thumb. perhaps there ought to be a thumbs pointing sideways? i might use that one then. I many times lean greater in direction of a thumb up in spite of the undeniable fact that if i think of an answer is mediocre. It relatively should be poor for me to thumb down an answer.

Not any more ,
it happens all the time ,
especially when people do not vote their own questions
and the community tends to vote for the first one because it is faster.
you`ll get used to it
I hate it when people do not vote big questions for which i have given a big answers
and have even mailed them to vote their damn question

That happens to everyone of us from time to time.
It can be discouraging but NO, I don't hate it.

Definitly! Then I think... "but my answer is so moving and almost scientific in construction..."
But people have diffrent tastes... and this is freedom of choice here.
