I thought iglesia ni cristo was a mean stream religion as they have the same morals I believed in. They welcome guests very openly with smiles, shake hands and all...but... I got invited to an iglesia ni cristo event and I have never felt so attacked. Their priests had a lot more reasons why other religions are wrong than why INC is right. They just criticized other major religions (specially Catholics) and I don't find that in any way kind or reflective of what Christianity is all about. Isn't Christianity about acceptance of others? In no way am I saying this religion is wrong at all, but if it has this many negative comments, something's definitely not right. Perhaps, it's a cult afterall.

It's a religion in the sense that they teach about God, about God's Word and the beliefs that go into a religion. It's also a cult in some way because of the dedication of its members, not only to God but, also to its founder. Which is why some people call it "Iglesia ni Manalo".

this might be an unfair if not an improper q to ask in yap.
for if we say it is a cult, there might be iglesia ni cristo members in here, im not by the way, that might be offended.
anyway everyone entitled to their own opinion, but the only best way if for each person to research & study it on their own & to form their own opinion.
for me though, it can be considered as a christian cult.

More than both. How could you believe Manalo in his seclusion days and after he has a newfound religion who attacks other religion most esp. the Catholic Church. o what was that? and the strongest attestment is Jesus was not God? wew.
And that religion/cult says that theres no salvation outside their church? woah. their God must be merciless? how awful isn't it?

Hi Lorenzo Ruiz, et al. Where are your friends - the Vietnamese guy, and the other biblical character? Haven't surfaced lately, huh.

For me it's a cult! They're so good at hypnotizing people!
Hands down to them but they won't fool me a single bit! As if it is the only "real" religion! Get real! They're just humans. Who do they think they are?

If it involves brainwashing their members into believing ridiculous things (like a certain manalo guy is a messiah or prophet) and if it involves skimming money from their members by obligating them to "donate" 10% of their income to the "church" then it definitely is a cult. Being duped by them is worse than joining a failed pyramid(multi level marketing) scam.
