I just saw one in another category and
was about to report it, only there is no
way (that I can see) for calling Yahoo's
attention to the avatar. The avatar is
not even listed under violations.
Do we just let it go?

I always report pornographic avatars. It is EVERYONE's responsibility to make sure that this sort of thing is not done on OUR site with impunity!

You would hit the report button that is part of either the question or the answer that is attached to that avatar, and then choose the SECOND option when it goes to the report screen. This will give you a window to explain exactly WHY you are reporting that particular question or answer.

there used to be a box underneath where you could put comments, but it is gone now. the only reason i know this is because i once reported an answer that was so vile and racist it made my stomach churn. i found another since they changed the format and the box wasn't there, so i guess they must have taken it out when they "re-vamped" everything.
it's not like a real person actually looks at the reports anyway it's all computer generated.
they wouldn't even let me put the mix my dog is in an answer. can you guess what kind he is by this: cock-a-poo

edit : what did i tell you -- he is a cocker-a-poo
(funny how that sounds, but even funnier that it passes!)

Yes, let it go. Freedom is the one thing that makes this country a good place to live. If we take away the freedom of others, then they can take it from us. Soon having a place like YA to openly discuss or express anything would not exist.

Aren't the rules contringent enough? They delete my answer already and their logic is off the wall most of the time.

I have only seen one picture of someone in a rather pornoraphic pose used as an avatar . I didn't report it because i thougt Yahoo screened the photos. I guess to report it, I would follow the others advice. Maybe you can report it as being adult content.

Don't let it go because young people are on this site, go to one of the answers or questions of this person and then report it on the section that give you the space to comment. I think it is the second one , cause I actually did report a person yesterday, for sending an abusive email. That is the only time i would do it. I won't let people invade my Private email space with abusive threats. Try that and see if it works.

No, I would not let it go. Two reasons, it is simply inappropriate and all ages are on this site! If they wish to be vulgar, then do it elsewhere!

I suppose the only way to report this, may be through the Yahoo section for suggestions and such? I'm just not sure but, I hope and pray you are successful in this endeavor!

Not a lot I could do really. I am not one for reporting people, but I am sure the Yahoo Police would find it and remove it soon.

To record offensive cloth click the blue be conscious record Abuse next to the persons question or answer. Then click the drop down menu and click grownup content cloth then placed your reason in the extra info container. No the guy wont be conscious of who mentioned them. It needless to say states this on the Reporting website.

I think you have to use your own judgment on this. If it's a cartoon or a small image that's hard to make out I would just let it be, but if it's really outrageous you're probably helping out by reporting it.
