Think about it. I would say no, but what about nazis or other groups of people known to massacre.

About the black people commiting more crimes,
yes it is true... but would you want to be judged by what other people of your race do, or your own actions???

Even if it is typically true, it is unfair to the other people who work hard to better themselves.

And about the Nazis many fought for Germany so they would not be killed, it was join us or die. What would you have done?

Have basis? probably yes. Justified? heck no.

As alot of people have stated, stereotypes must come from SOMEWHERE (well, maybe not all, but still). People just have to remember that stereotypes are NOT a good way to judge people. While they might apply to quite a large number of such a group, it might still not apply to the majority. Eg. Stereotype:Nerds are all scrawny geeks. Look at the TV show Beauty and the Geek, one of them was more well built than most jocks (not to mention he instantly attracted the attention of some of the beauties). However, there is a basis to it. Since nerds are typically more concerned about studies and books then sports and exercise, they end up scrawny.

Nazi is not a stereotype. Nazis were a group of killers. what does that have to do with stereotypes? If you call someone a nazi, you're not stereotyping them you're calling them a (very bad) name.
Stereotypes? Justified? Well, some people choose to become part of a stereotype. Some people find themselves through stereotypes. Stereoptypes can also be a way of seperating people just because of how they look/act,a dn that builds an invisible wall. Stereotypes can be a form of predjudism, juging people by what you see.

Think about how "Nazi's" were forced to commit horrible acts with the threat of death over their own heads. It was kill or be killed. So is that example a justified negative stereotype? Obviously not. You will find that if people do their research, no negative stereotypes are justified.

Stereotypes don't appear out of nowhere. There is at least some truth to every stereotype. And stereotypes are just that. It doesn't mean ALL people in the group you are talking about act a certain way, it just means they are typically known to do so.
