I personally like the intro to "You've Got to Hide You're Love Away" by The Beatles, when they are tuning their guitars and a glass breaks, and John says "Paul's broken a glass...broken a glass....Paul's broken a glass, a glass, a glass he broke today"

Few spoken intros come smoother than "Proud Mary" by Tina and Ike Turner.

The Black Widow by Alice Cooper the Intro was done by Vincent Price best known for the horror movies he starred in. Here is the Intro to the song The Black Widow:

Leaving lepidoptra - please, don't touch the display, little boy, aha cute!
Moving to the next aisle we have arachnida, the spiders, our.. finest collection.
This friendly little devil is the heptothilidi, unfortunately harmless.
Next to him, the nasty licosa raptoria, his tiny fangs cause creeping ulcerations of the skin *laugh*.

And here, my prize, the Black Widow. Isn't she lovely?.. and so deadly.
Her kiss is fifteen times as poisonous as that of the rattlesnake.
You see her venom is highly neurotoxic, which is to say that it attacks the central nervous system causing intense pain, profuse sweating, difficulty in breathing,
loss of consciousness, violent convulsions and, finally.. death.
You know I think what I love the most about her is her inborn need to dominate,
possess.
In fact, immediately after the consummation of her marriage to the smaller and weaker male of the specie she kills and eats him - *laugh*
oh, she is delicious.. and I hope he was!
Such power and dignity - unhampered by sentiment. If I may put forward a slice of personal philosophy, I feel that man has ruled this world as a stumbling demented child-king long enough!
And as his empire crumbles, my precious Black Widow shall rise as his most fitting successor!

If you get a chance you should listen to the whole Welcome To My Nightmare album/cd on which you will find this Intro.

Omerta - Lamb of God
(The best intro ive come accross)

This is what Randy says before the music comes in, his heavy voice suits it too.

Whoever appeals to the law against his fellow man is either a fool or a coward. Whoever cannot take care of themself without that law is both. For a wounded man shall say to his assailant, "If I live, I will kill you. If I die, you are forgiven." Such is the Rule of Honor.

Pink Floyd- The Great Gig In the Sky
"I never said I was frightened of dying" It's not exactly the intro, but it starts before the singing.

I enjoy "Muffin Man" by Frank Zappa, spoken by Captain Beefheart. The album it came from was a live album with new material I believe.

"Lyrics" to the intro:

The Muffin Man is seated at the table
In the laboratory of the Utility Muffin
Research Kitchen . . .
Reaching for an oversized chrome spoon
He gathers an intimate quantity of dried muffin remnants
And brushing his scapular aside
Proceeds to dump these inside of his shirt. . .
He turns to us and speaks:
"Some people like cupcakes better. I for one care less for them!"
Arrogantly twisting the sterile canvas snoot of a fully charged icing anointment utensil
He puts forth a quarter-ounce green rosette (oh ah yuk yuk.
let's try that again . . .!)
He puts forth a quarter-ounce green rosette
Near the summit of a dense but radiant muffin
of his own design.
Later he says: "Some people . . . some people like cupcakes exclusively,
While I myself say there is not nor ought there be
Nothing so exalted on the face of God's grey earth as that prince of foods . . . The Muffin!"

It's roughly one minute, twenty-four seconds.

Johnny Cash quoting Scripture during the intro to "The Man Comes Around." I find that song and "I Hung My Head" absolutely haunting.

Also, the humorous dialogue preceding The Dead Milkmen's "Bitchin' Camaro".
