I am not new to acting, but I am new to huge auditions. This show that I am in, is more of a display of talent. For both modeling and acting, I have confidence, but not enough, especially if this show is coming up soon.
I do not have a scene yet, and the requirements are no longer than 30 seconds!
HELP!

Is this a convention where they've promised you that agents and casting directors would be there? I hope you can get your money back if it is. I sure hope you are attending a legit audition, BUT it sounds like one of those IMTA conventions where they pay agencies to send reps. Usually some assistant goes, not even a real agent. If a real agent goes they're pressured to give callbacks to many kids even though they may never actually sign any of them. It's just a big operation for John Robert Powers and Barbizon and all those places to make lots of money.

If any of that sounds familiar, look up the company you're auditioning for on http://ripoffreport.com/

If all you really need is a monologue for a truly legitimate audition, a 30 second monologue seems extremely limited. Try these:

There are also tons of books with monologues in them at the library.

good luck,

You should ask your school drama coach or consult the English Professor at your school. That's probably more up their alley. Sorry. Good luck with the audition though.
