The Sun is a mid-range star in a quiet corner of the Milky Way galaxy. It has eight major planets REVOLVING around it. They are Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune. There is also the asteriod belt between Mars and Jupiter. There are also dwarf planets...Pluto being one of them...and the Oort Cloud from which comets and sometimes meteors come from. Most planets have natural satellites called "moons." We have one and it revolves around the earth. There are many others including Titan which revolves around Saturn that are very large and like planets. And now can someone explain why there are thumbs down on the other answers? Is there someone out there who doesn't agree with this? How can that be? All you need to do is look through a telescope....

The answer you're probably looking for is the Moon, although none of the answers is technically correct. It would be better to say that the Moon "revolves" around the Earth, rather than "rotating" around the Earth. An object can rotate around its axis, like the Earth does, but when one object moves around another object, it is said to be revolving. It's a common mistake.

On earth ; Everything that is on the surface. From space every object that is caught up by Earth’s gravitational field such as satellites, man made space debris, and comets, in elongated orbits and of course, the moon.
All these objects turn around Earth's center or the (gravitational axis or fixed point.) Loosely put they revolve around the planet.

The moon, along with other unnatural satellites, like the ones used for GPS and such. Plus, a lot of other space dust and rocks and the like. Also, they revolve, not rotate, like the persno above explained quite nicely.
