Don't two wrongs make a right, haven't we paid our debt to minority communities? Shouldn't we be caring about what is right "here and now" and not worrying about if we are "nice" enough to everyone.

Political correctness offends millions and it should be abolished! It is a stifling of original thought and is harming our children beyond repair! Lets get this PC crap out of society and back under a rock from which the liberals dragged it and bury it or theres gonna be some bad things happening you all! Mark my words! Never halt free speech no matter what grumpy gets their panties in a bunch or youkill our freedom!

That is what is wrong with your question, we don't need political correctness. It in my opinion makes it OK to offend anyone that is trying to live a moral lifestyle, and make nice with those that live an amoral lifestyle. Don't get me wrong I have many friends from all walks of life, and I get along with them great, but I refuse to not call a spade a spade. I have lost some friends because of my tongue, because I just have to say what is on my mind. That attitude may keep me from moving up in the world in some areas, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

We don't need political correctness. It is a tool used by some that is forced upon the majority to squelch freedom of speech. They don't care about what is right they just want their views heard and want to force their views down our throats. Political Correctness is offensive and a lie. I have personally taken a vow not to be politically correct.

Nobody wants the media to be politically correct, of course not,,, everyone wants the truth...raw and uncut and uncesored...., until they hear something that offends them, then they will cry you a river and petition for some radio talk show host or publishing editor to be fired..

sound about right ?

I've never considered PC a good thing or a need of any sort either......I guess there are those though that just can't deal with the real world around us without.
Like taking the rich and the spoiled out of Beverly Hills and expect them to function normally.

this is another invention of the liberal left.
in an effort to be all inclusive and not offend any one ( except WASPs) they came up with ways to placate all.
It disgusts hell out of me.
That's when people started saying I'm a Irish American or German American if you need to put something in front of American then thats where you need to live.

Why do we need political correctness?

We don't!

And we certainly do not need the absurdity it has become.

so... you want people to care about what offends you (political correctness)... even though you don't care what offends others?

pretty typical conservative response...
