I'm in school for political science, but I feel like an asshole because the more I try to learn to back up my ideas the more I have no idea what I am talking about.
I don't fit in with anyone at school, or anywhere really. I guess I give off anti-social vibes.

From the details that you have given, I can only guess that you have a different point of view than most of the student body or professors for that matter. Political Science tends to be slanted left and your more open to other ideas. As you progress through all your classes, the material you learn does not support your beliefs, leading to feelings of inadequacy.
I would try and find independent reading material that would support your beliefs other than the material the professors hand out. You need to believe in yourself, and take your assignments to task rather than accepting only the truths presents in texts.
As far as antisocial vibes goes, if you believe in yourself as a student, then it won’t take long for others to start listen to you and over time make new and interesting friends.
