1. first change 6 3/7 from a mixed number to 45/7. (6 * 7 + 3 over 7)

2. now you have: 45/7 divided by 4/9.

3. now, since you are dividing fractions, switch the second fraction and multiply, giving you:

45/7 (times)9/4

multiply it out to get 405/28

You would have to flip the 4/9 to be 9/4

45/7*9/4 = 405/28

Convert the compound number into a fraction:
6 3/7 = 45/7
(Doesn't matter that it is an improper fraction.)

"Divided by 4/9" is the same as "multiply by 9/4" so you need to calculate
(45/7) * (9/4)
