The word "husband" means "house band".
He is to keep his house together. (house meaning--his family)
I LOVE THAT. They are so underappreciated.

Not a guy, but I would rather say that or babe, than most people that call their husband or wives honey bunny bear or schnuckycukums or something. I mean the really tired pet names are the ones that are way too creative. If you want a pet name for your significant other, keep it something simple and clean. I'm not married but I did used to like this one guy and I called him my sexy bunny. I mean its cute and simple. Those overly exaggerated names that I mentioned above are as bad as people slob all over each other in public. So bottomline bad pet name is the overly sugary sweet ones. They always sound over done and like you are exaggerating and forcing happy feelings into your relationship.

I don't think it would annoy me unless she used in a derisive manner. She's never referred to me that way and I have never called here "wifey", "the little woman", or anything like that.
I think some women write it a lot more than they say it. But, it may just be a term of endearment for "the one and only man in my life".
Maybe it's just you....

Married men should not come out of a women's mouth that is married how would they like it if men called them that but they could just be talking about married men in general or some thing else.

Nah, I don't mind at all... I prefer 'life partner' though, but that's only cause people then think that my wife is a lesbian... at least until they meet me.

Yes, would find that irritating. Thankfully, my wife doesn't do that.
