The most beautiful gemstone in my book ... is a RUBY. I am a July baby. Yes, it is my birthstone, but I love red too. If I ever get married (uh ... again - lol) I want my wedding ring to have both diamonds and rubies. That would be VERY cool! =)
My 2nd favorite would have to be a GARNET because it's also a shade of red and it's the birthstone of my cute kid!
CONGRATS ON THE 500th QUESTION GEM! (And a good one at that consdiering the source! lol)

My birthstone, the Topaz. Not the blue, but the smoky golden one. Next is the Opal or Emerald.
