You need to sit down and relax for a few minutes, then get the things in your mind in order. Then tell yourself so what. example: What if your thinking someone is talking about, well so what. What if they are SO WHAT. And What if this and that etc... So what. Do that all the time and the problems will seem less troublesome, because they most likley are. If it's something or someone that will hurt you, then you need to get some help, police etc..... Try praying also, you'll be suprised at how it helps!

Well sister, I have trained myself to look at troubles as just problems or challenges to solve and ask, "What can I learn from this?" If you think you have troubles, as someone above said, just look around a little. One of my friends 40 yr. old son committed suicide last week. Had a young family. That's the worst that can happen to a parent, so anything else doesn't seem so bad. If you just start making a list of all the things you have to be thankful for, that works pretty fast. Like, I'm still alive, I can see, I have a roof over my head, etc. Also, I talk to a special lady in PA. She can melt my troubles like butter on the campfire. If you have troubles, I wish you.....peace

The truth of the matter is that our brains are like a conveyor belt. Our thoughts just keep coming around for a second, third , fourth one thousandth pass.
I can do all sorts of things to keep me busy but I find that I need to take the thought and toss it in the recycle bin of my mind cuz it just keeps coming around.
That's what works for me.

I used to meditate, use aromatherapy, walk and exercise, etc. Now I've found that all I really need to do is come on here and check out the fun questions, and smiling faces!!!!!!

swim.
at practice i can think about all the bad things AND all the good things, and if i get really upset while im thinking/swimming, no one will know bc im under water
and by the time practice is over, i feel great.

That's easy SEX!!!!!!! but it only works for a couple of hrs. Then the troubles start all over when you tell yourself " I SHOULD OF USED A CONDOM......"
