My vagina is red and irritated feeling. Its really starting to get annoying. I know its not an STD. I have been on antibiotcs for a week now taking 3 a day and vicodin for a week also. I also started using a new soap yesterday too. It has been like this since yesterday and worse today. Can anyone help me with this?

Since the new soap was yesterday... I would suspect that first. Antibiotics often cause me to get yeast infections. If there is itching along with the redness and irritation, you may need to be treated for a yeast infection.

Vagisil can't hurt (I wouldn't think), it may temporarily relieve the irritation. Stop the soap and if you can stand it for a few days, I would say see if it gets better. If it doesn't then you probably need to treat a yeast infection. I have never heard of vicodin having any side effects like that, so I don't really think that has anything to do with it. Good luck.

Antibiotics upset the balance of good bacteria. Sounds like a yeast infection. Yogurt applied topically can help. You can also eat it. Dont wash your vagina with soap. It will make it worse. You can buy over the counter products to treat thrush.

Antibiotic therapy can cause a yeast infection (The antibiotic can upset the balance or normal bacteria and allow the yeast to flourish). Try an OTC yeast medication.

Ask a doctor immediately. You don't have to be ashamed to ask a gynocologist (I know I didn't spell that right). It sounds serious enough to recieve urgent attention. I doubt that you can get the kind of opinion you need from this website.

Try a lotion 'trisen B' twice in a day, after applying don't wear anything for some time till it dries. this may be quite helpful to you. The lotion is avalable in any medical shop. Within two days you will find changes.

it could easily be the soap.. try and use your normal soap for a couple days to see if it clears up... if it doesnt then see a doctor.. if it does... its most likely the soap. hope you start feeling better!

I am sure you mean red and irritated GENITALS. It is easy to look at your genitals in a mirror but it would be difficult for you to look inside your vagina, and it is already naturally pink in colour.
