The one time I played with the Ouija Board I got it for a b-day gift. It was in the middle of the day and my mother, brother, and sister wanted to try the board. This was a very long time ago.
I asked the question will the Chicago Bears go to the Super Bowl. The four of us were playing and the indicator was moving. I believe it only went to three or four letters that to me spelled nothing. I thought for sure one of the others were moving the board. They all said no. So we went to the dictionary and looked up the word. I can't remember the word it spelled but the meaning was "you have no right. " I took the board and threw it out. I have not played with one since.

When I was in college a group of girls was playing with an old ouija board and they asked it what would be the score of the next days basketball game. The prediction that came back turned out to be exactly right. We all laughed at them. But then they had a session with the board before each game and wrote the score predicted on a piece of paper and sealed it in an envelope which they gave to the house matron to hold until after the game. The board was completely correct 100% of the time. One of the girls was so freaked, she transferred to another college.

Ouija boards are demonic things, that no one has any business messing with. My uncle and his friend took one to a cemetery and played it there and when they went home his friend went in a room and they heard stuff crashing around in the room so they went to check on him, but the door would not open as if it were locked, but there were no locks on the door. Finally the noises stopped the door unlocked and when they went in he was dead. The death was ruled a suicide, but they knew thats not what it was. I swear I am not making this up either. If you have trouble after playing a ouija board you need to get rid of it immediatly and pray to Jesus.

I played with a Ouija board with some friends. While I had my hands on it, the "spirit" said things only I would know. That led me to believe that either I was moving it unconsciously or else we share the world with supernatural, paranormal creatures that read our minds and with whom we can only contact using a product manufactured by a toy company. Years later I learned of the ideomotor effect. It is a well understood phenomenon which causes you to move something unconsciously (i.e. dowsing rods or the planchette on a Ouija board).
It's unfortunate superstition can cause so much misunderstanding of so many of the world's natural events.

In college..we were playing with one and it kept going from A to H. It went fast back and forth. We couldn't figure out what it was doing...till we finally realized it wasn't going from A to H It was going from H to A. It was laughing at us.! We screamed and ran. This is the truth. It REALLY happened. MY ADVICE IS NOT TO MESS WITH THEM
EDIT.Before that..it spelled the name of a boy that I liked. I can see how that might be me doing it. But it spelled it different than I thought it was spelled. I found out later that his name was spelled correctly the way the board spelled it. So how could that have been me?

Only ever played with one once, when I was a young teenager.. NEVER AGAIN.
I was at a friends house, they set up the thing on the table, windows were shut, they turned downt the lights and lit candles.
People asked questions, the glass shot around picking out letters, I thought it was all nonsense.
Then.. they turned on the light... and the entire floor was stewn with dead leaves......... I totally freaked, so did everyone else, and there was no chance that anyone there did it. Never again.

It was me and a guy that knew NOTHING about my family, as I was in FLA and I am from Louisiana.
We were asking questions and the handpiece started moving around. I asked who was there and it spelled my grandmother's 'pet' name, as we called her and it was a very funny spelling and like I said, the guy knew nothing about my family. I totally freaked and told them to get the board out of the house. After that, weird things started happening in my home, then my marriage went down hill (not that I'm upset about that! lol). I have made it very clear that no one is to EVER bring a ouija board around my home. My 22 and21 yr old kids won't even play with them b/c of what they know of what happened to me years ago.
