What sort of action do you mean? I would suggest The Fuzz a British Comedy tell me how it was I fell asleep because the first half an hour seemed slow but apparently this is fun. I enjoyed Night at the Musuem.
But!.....Hang on if you like action and animation you must see Wallace and Grommits Wrong Trousers and Chicken Run. If you you ain't already. They aren't all that recent but who cares!

I really hate Tom Cruise with a passion, but War of the Worlds was fantastic. V for Vendetta, and Casino Royale are some of my newer favorites.
V for Vendetta is great if you have a nice entertainment system...the effects are incredible.
