When i got married, i kept my last name, NOW i wanted to do that before i embraced Islam, why, bc there were not that many boys from my fathers side, and i wanted to carry his name. ((plus i do not think any last name will go with my name ..i guess to me it would not sound right))
When i became Muslim, i found out that it is better to keep your fathers name anyway, for on the day of judgement you will be called by your fathers name..IE...your name...then your fathers last name...

Took my husbands name and named 1 of my kids my maiden name, luckily it is a name that can be used as a 1st name.

My wife didn't change her last name. The main reason is that she had been married before for over 20 years and built up her credit history with that name.......and she has killer credit. And since we both have good credit there was no need to change.

I'm sticking to my maiden name with the exception of replacing Ms with Mrs.

I don't plan on getting married. >:P Even if I did, I wouldn't change my name because if I had to I'd feel like I was being owned... which is exactly why I have no intention of getting married.
