What is the present day status of Vietnam's government?

I have a few facts but im looking for a bunch more. So can somebody please help me out? Thanks to all that help!!! :)

Communism is the system of government in Vietnam but it is slowly adopting democratic principles aand capitalism is slowly creeping in with the introduction of Western businesses such as McDonalds and KFC.

Actually the businesses creeping in are not the mcducks and such, but rather big name business businesses. Intel, Dell, Ford, Cat, lots of non-franchise operations.
