Its temporary. It'll surface up at the wrong times and make you feel worse than before. Heck, you might even start to degrade yourself even further by blaming yourself for keeping it aside, and start even hating yourself more for being in such a pathetic state.

It may lead to any or non of the end results you mentioned, as a lot depends upon the person concerned and how he/she handles it and what's his disposition towards such situations.The best way is not to suppress it but divert it,preferably in to some thing positive or constructive.
