no. they aren't.
they just have right-brain primary motor function.
in different people different parts of the brain are dominant. language for example can be on either side of the brain, depending on the language. we westerners think that asians are really smart, because eastern language, that is, language which isn't indoeuropean, (aka west of the himalayas), is located on the right side of the brain, not the left. so they have more stimulation to that side of the brain, which is tipically where logical functions are located, like math and such. mm? so they aren't smarter, they do more with that part of the brain, so it gets, to simplify it 'stronger.'
actually, the patterns of connections between axions and dendrites in that area become more complex allowing for more ease in learing more complicated processes in that area.

Besides more than 50% of people with IQs over 140 being left handed more people suffering dyslexia and schizophrenia are left handed than right handed. They are also more likely to suffer from allergies and stutter.
Take the test and find out for your self how many actions are as natural with the other hand.
From 'Anything Left Handed'
Get together with a group of friends and have a go at the following exercises. Remember that each task must be carried out instantly and without thinking about it.
1. Imagine the centre of your back is itching. Which hand do you scratch it with?
2. Interlock your fingers. Which thumb is uppermost?
3. Imagine you are applauding. Start clapping your hands. Which hand is uppermost?
4. Wink at and imaginary friend straight in front of you. Which eye does the winking?
5. Put your hands behind your back, one holding the other. Which hand is doing the holding?
6. Someone in front of you is shouting but you cannot hear the words. Cup your ear to hear better. Which ear do you cup?
7. Count to three on your fingers, using the forefinger of the other hand. Which forefinger do you use?
8. Tilt your head to one shoulder. Which shoulder does it touch?
9. Fixate a small distant object with your eyes and point directly at it with your forefinger. Now close one eye. Now change eyes. Which eye was open when the fingertip remained in line with the small object? (when the other eye, the non-dominant one, is open and the dominant eye is closed, the finger will appear to move to one side of the object.)
10. Fold your arms. Which forearm is uppermost?

A new study claims that left handed people might be better at:
-Talking while driving in heavy traffic
-Piloting jet fighters
-Playing fast video games
The authors find that lefties are “better able to use both sides of their brain” and “are more efficient when dealing with multiple stimuli”.
However, based on the design of the study, I would say the authors have found this left-handed advantage to be true for visual information, but not necessarily other modalities such as mathematics, language, proprioception, etc…

generally, they tend to be more concrete and think more independently....although, I am right-handed, I have done some studies on left-handers and YES, typically their IQs are higher....
In tests conducted by Dr. Alan Searleman from St Lawrence University in New York, he found that left-handers can be considerably more intellectually gifted.
There were more left-handed people with IQs over 140 than right-handed people - which is the "genius" bracket. This is perhaps why there are more "lefties" in creative professions - such as music, art and writing - and more left-handed astronauts and leaders than would be expected.
Some famous lefties....DA VINCI, KURT COBAIN, JFK JR., RON REGAN.......just to name a few

Of course! All us, um, I mean all left-handers are distinctly more intelligent than the common or garden-variety right-handed human. Everybody knows this (well, at least everybody that's left-handed knows this).

My sister, husband, daughter and grandson are all lefties. Its not that they're smarter, its that they are smart in different ways.
