I have twin girls named Audrey Elizabeth and Maggie Caroline. I absolutely adore their names, and I always thought they flowed well. But now, people are telling me they don't sound like twins names because they don't flow. I have no interest in changing them, but I'm wondering if you think they flow or not. No need to be rude, just wondering

No, they don't flow.. but I think it's a good thing=)
It gives them their own individuality!!
Friends and family members will remember them as "Maggie and Audrey," not as "The twin girls."

I love the names, and I'm sure they will thank you when they are older!

I've known twins named:
Caden and Braden
Allie and Callie
Hayley and Bailey
Addison and Madison

Let me just tell you, I think they all kind of dislike the closeness of their names.. because people were constantly getting them confused!!

You chose Beautiful names=]
Good luck with your two little girls!!

Audrey Elizabeth flows just fine. Maggie Caroline, though I like both names, sound a little bumpy together but not to any great point. I congratulate you for not doing names that rhyme like Brenda and Linda, Flo and Fleur, Catherine and Caitlyn. There seemed to be a time when people used to name most all twins matching names and then, dress them identically. Some say that it hampers the children from being individuals. I don't know if that's true because I know twins whose names don't rhyme and if one didn't know better, one would think they were joined at the hip! Neither can make a decision without the other, they usually work for the same businesses and even had the same boyfriends! You like the names you chose for your children, so don't worry about what other people may think. Just thank God you have two beautiful, healthy babies that you can enjoy. I'll never forget my baby that died.

actually, i like that they're different. Same letter and rhyming names are cute when they're babies / children, but when they grow up,they'd prefer to have their own identity because they are 2 different people afterall, so it's good that the names aren't all matchy. I'm sure your girls will appreciate having their own names. Afterall, if they're identical, they may have enough trouble with people confusing them by their appearance, but at least their names won't be so confusing. And while i personally prefer mixing around first and middle initials, like Audrey Elizabeth and Emily Allison, so they could be individuals but also twins, it isn't really necessary for their names to be similar at all. Look at Mary-Kate and Ashley and Matthew and Gunnar Nelson. Besides, i think their names do flow well together. They're both 2-syllable names ending in an "ee" sound and both have a longer middle name. Plus, i think they're beautiful names, so don't worry about what others think.

my favorite girls' names are Beatrix and Alice, so if i ever had twin girls, I'd probably just go with those because whether they sound like twins or not, those are the names i love. So kudos for picking the names YOU love because as long as you love the names, that's all that matters

Who cares? They sound like very nice names to me, and you're their mother so you get to pick their names. Besides, once they start school their friends are going to call them something else anyway. "Mag and Aud" flows very well. Also, since some people use Lee as a diminutive of Elizabeth, try "Audrey Lee and Maggie C." Nevermind -- who says twin names need to "flow"? What is "flow"? Smile sweetly and say "I'm so sorry you don't like my children's names." Then change the subject.

I think they flow. Audrey Elizabeth flows and so does Maggie Caroline.

They just don't rhyme and I think that is some peoples problem, they believe twins should have rhyming names.

I don't believe twins should have rhyming names, what sounds so cutesy as baby's doesn't always stay that way.

Your names choices are fine,If I was you I wouldn't worry what others say.

AUDREY ELIZABETH flows perfectly. I think it is a very pretty name, feminine and classy.
MAGGIE CAROLINE is not that good I am sorry to say. It does not flow in itself.
I have never thought twin names should flow with eachother.

Like Livia and Olivia or Jessica and Jennifer.... it sounds rather stupid, so you did a good thing to separate their personalities.
the important thing is YOU like their names and I am sure you are a very happy Mama
congrats and keep up the good work

I think what they perhaps meant was that they don't rhyme like twins names should. If you mean the first and middle names. Audrey Elizabeth does, but Maggie Caroline doesn't . But how often do they use their middle names? As long as you like them, I guess who cares?

I think Maggie and Audrey flows fine, but not the other way around. I love the names btw.

Audrey and Maggie flow perfectly together. They are both the same, sophisticated style.

Not all twin names have to "match". If I were to have twin girls my last pregnancy, they would have been named Lorelei Grace and Isabella Faith. I hate "twinny" names like Harry & Larry, Lauren & Laura, Bob & Job, Mo and Bo and all those matchy names. Twins are individuals too!

Absolutely. Love the names. The flow beautifully. Audrey and maggie...I wish my mother had taken consideration like that when she named ME.
Good grief, what people are you hanging out around? Jerks, tell them to shut the heck up!
