I'm doing X-Ray Technician, but now the school says that they CAN'T give no more A.S Degree because the ACC said that the school can't be aloud (some problems), and is hard for me to transfer the credits to another school. But I want to know what is the difference between Certification and AS degree. Would it be the same? Does the starting pay/wage be the same when I graduate and start working? Can I get a good job? How much is the pay for a limited X-Ray Tech?

Diploma vs. A.S degree?

No offense, but limited tech is basically useless. Your choice of jobs is very "limited." Employers want ARRT-registered radiologic technologists. In order to pass the registry, you must graduate from an accredited school.

Regarding certificate vs. associate (vs. bachelors), it makes no difference as long as the school is accredited. A degree is only important if you want to go into management someday. For a registered tech, pay is the same whether you have a degree or not, but a limited tech will make significantly less than an RT.

It sounds to me your school lost their accreditation for that field. While you say it's a pain to transfer, I think you should, a degree is going to look better than just a certification.
