I don't wash my car all that much, but anytime I do, yeah I wear blue playtex rubber gloves. I need to keep my hands looking good, and sometimes it's cold outside, and I need to keep my hands warm. Plus I just love wearing gloves period.

Correct way to wash a car.!
1. Spray water all over car first to get rid of residual grit etc.
2.In an oblong bucket put in wax polish and warm water.
3. Use an ordinary soft house broom and dip in the bucket and wash the car bit by bit.
4. finally rinse off soap suds and dry with chamois cloth.
All done in a jiffy, and no messy hands.

Only when I am doing the actual washing down with soap. I'm a manicurist and I think that gloves should be worn anytime you are cleaning anything but yourself, your children, and of course your hands.

I bought a great brush from Big Lots and use it on the car. Looks like a big back scrubber....my hands never touch the water. Does a great job getting stuck bugs off the front bumper.
