No. Per the e-machines website, that model supports a maximum of 1GB PC2100 SDRAM - 512MB per slot.

the size may not be the problem, but the type is. DDR is 186 pin slot, and DDR2 is 240 pin slot. The scheme for accessing the memory is also different.

You know you can get a multitude of different answers, some may be right and some could be wrong.
So rather than risk any wrong info you might get.
