See my answer to the 'feeling alone' question re 'the love of my life', I longed to see her for years.... but a good clean break and all. I still wonder about her sometimes, how the years have treated her, what kind of woman she has become, how her mother (who taught me, the wasp boy, how to hug) is doing, if she is still alive... just about her.

Yes, but that was when the "no longer part of my life" was only a recent turn of events. I feel no longing for her now. None at all. But at the time, I not only wanted to cry, I wanted to die.

Yes. And I have cried about them. But I think the crying doesn't help me any personally; just gives me a stuffy nose/head. :-( But it is therapeutic to face the loss (whether it's a death or a breakup, etc.). It sounds generic, but it does get better with time.

Yes.This was someone i was very much in love with.And yes it makes me want to cry at times.

yes, you never realize how important they were until they leave and you don't have them there anymore. i definitely feel this way about my last boyfriend. he was a good guy and i pushed him away. i miss him.
