I used to do that when I was in grad school. I was working on a master's in math, and played on my blondness to play dumb and get extra attention and help. That always worked until the first test, when I usually got the highest score and my cover was blown!

No, I don't see it as wrong. Perhaps it is useful to you in certain situations. On the other hand, you don't want to draw attention to the fact that you have superior intelligence. It would make people feel inadequate and they might see you as an arrogant know-it-all.
If you are very bright, that will become obvious as people get to know you better, and it will be accepted, perhaps even valued. If you can, it is usually more enjoyable to be part of a social group with others of similar abilities, and then you don't have to hide your intelligence. It is, after all, a wonderful asset.

You kidding -- I do it all the time. I've noticed that people tend to expect less if that is the case, and then you can really blow them out of the water later, if you so desire. Make them think a little bit about how they evaluate other people. It's quite fun, really.

Sometimes I do that. I don't really see how there would be anything WRONG with it. One time my friends and I said we needed help in chemistry (we had A's though) so we could hang out with these guys we liked. lol

Be yourself. Do you want people liking you under false pretenses? Intelligence is something to be grateful for!
