My son got physical custody of his son.
It wasn't hard at all.
He had a good lawyer.
Is the mother of this child abusive in anyway?
Does she do drugs/Drink?
Whats the reason she doesn't have the child living with her?
All of these things need to be addressed before seeing a lawyer. The more info. and proof the better.
You didn't mention the age of his daughter?
If the Mother is abusive the her daughter, then the father can get a child protection order. Check with your State and County laws.
Check with a Lawyer to see what his options are.
Best of Luck

BY paying Child Support (hopefully for him, thru the CSA),
he can go to a Solicitor (or Legal Aid) and petition the Family Court for FULL custodial rights.
There may be 'reasons' for the Mother allowing the father to have the child 6 days a week, however whatever these 'reasons' the Family Court would lean more to the Father, who has obviously obeyed a Family Court ruling on Child support. When a Family Agreement was originally made (surely it was), the Mother was awarded Primary custody..The change in the custody arrangements surely must have been made by the Mother, with the Father agreeing OUTSIDE of the Court ACTUALLY KNOWING that both parents had entered into an Arrangement, other than what the Court (the Agreement) actually ruled.
IF he is concerned and I think his paying Child Support is quite irregular in this Case..His Application to the Court may well be Upheld.

I don't know what country he is from, but common sense should apply in all cases. If there is a court document stating that the mother has full custody of the child, then it should also state what the court has ordered as his privilege's with the child. Depending on what the court order says, she could very well be in violation of the order, and he should keep a record of all their conversations, date, time location, etc.He should also get sworn statements from his friends and family, before seeing a lawyer. But, it ALL DEPENDS on what the court order says. In a custody case, the court order is the final word, no matter which parent wants to change it.

If he wants custody he should try. That is an agreement he and his ex have made and everyone else should stay out of. Because you may end up ruining your friendship by butting in where they may not want you. But if he is interested and he can prove he has the child the majority of the time, then he should have joint custody and reduction in child support or full custody and not pay child support.

OF COURSE!!
6 days a week, she is pretty much living with him
Make sure mention that in court!
My bf has his daughter on the weekend, friday to monday afternoon.
He tried to get custody, but no luck
Because usually court will give the child to the mother
but in your friend's case. I think he has a really good chance
if any question, you are more than welcome to contact me
