Hi, let me throw some numbers at you - If the pool is uniformly 4 feet deep, you will need approximately 112 to 120 tons of dirt to fill the pool. If you have 6 tri-axle loads of fill dirt (about 20 tons each load), at about $250 to $350 a load, it will cost you somewhere around $1800 to fill the pool, not including the cost of rough grading and any landscaping you wish to do on the surface.
16 * 33 * 4 = 2112 cubic feet
2112 / 27 = 78.22 cubic yards
convert to tons 78.22 * (1.5) = 117.33
round off to 120 tons
Good Luck.

Contact an excavation company in the phone book. They should be able to come out to your house and use dump trucks to fill the hole. Then if you finish it in concrete then you'll have one heck of a patio to boot. They could give you some estimate on the price, depending on how much dirt you'll need.
