Where is a good place in the county of Los Angeles to get good head shots???

Question

Well i am an aspiring actor and i wanted to know what is the best place to get good quality headshots. If you have any ideas plz pass them on to me they will be greatly aprrietiated. Also any good agents for new actors ages 14-19 would also help me out so mucho. . thanks

You can also check out ads in the trades like Backstage & Variety.

As for agents, you don't jump straight to that. You need training and experience before you even think about going there especially in LA. It's a very competitive market and if you have nothing on your resume, don't bother applying. Get into classes, start auditioning for theatre, student and indie films. Once you have a resume to speak of, then submit to agents. While you're in classes and working on projects, network with other people. Ask who they're signed with and ask if you can use them as a referrence. An industry referrence is a very good thing to have these days.

Please remember that reputable agents take 10% of your pay after they help you get a job, nothing up front. They are also not allowed to require that you take classes with them or anywhere else. Those places are ripoffs and you should avoid them at all costs.

Just wanted to add another resource for headshot photographers - reproductions.com

Reproductions is actually, as it sounds, a reproduction agency that you would use to make mass copies of your heardshot, but they do have a directory of photographers which allows you to view some samples of their work online.
