Oh dude, there are so many...that depends on the time they were released. Metallica today isnt heavy compared to morden bands such as Killswitch Engage or Hatebreed but back in their day they were the hardest, most in-your-face band ever and have inspired so many bands. There is no heaviest song because of the example above, it has to be broken down by time and genre. Heres my opponion
The best classic metal song in my opponion would be either Metallica's Battery or Creeping Death. The best morden song would be Lamb Of God - Ruin or Avenged Sevenfold - We Come Out At Night (before they turned into a emo band)

My personal favorites are No Leaf Clover off of the Metallica S&M CD and Hallowed be thy name by Iron Maiden.
The greatest Metal song of all time though is probably One by Metallica. The end of that song is the hardest thing I've ever heard while still being music and not just a bunch of no talent losers banging on instruments and growling into a microphone.

"Paranoid" by Black Sabbath I guess. Although "War Pigs" would be closer if it wasn't so long. Although I don't listen to metal really I have a lot of metal head friends that play Slayer and Megadeth and Metallica and such all the time. We just listened to all of Reign In Blood by Slayer and it was pretty cool, not my music but cool. Black Sabbath is the only metal band I really get into, and Ozzy solo. Classic metal I guess?

I like "Heaven and Hell" by Black Sabbath with Ronnie James Dio the best. Not the best metal song, but my favorite for sure.
