Why are the liberals blaming global warming for the fires in CA when there have already been several arrests for arson?

How can they be that uninformed or uneducated?

It is a pretty big generalization...but your question was kind enough to offer the reason that I think most liberals have this belief.

I truly believe that the reason for most of their positions is ignorance and mis-information.

When people take the time to learn about the issues and the positions of the candidates as well as their voting history, they usually end up voting Republican.

BTW, Ron Paul is not a Republican, he is and always has been a Libertarian.

Rudy and Mitt are left leaning based on their voting history, so I am hopeful that the other candidates come on strong and or team up to get on our ballot!

Nice question and asked with courtesy.

To your question, Liberals lie just as much as (or as little as) Conservatives. Politics is fraught with lies and truths, and perception filters most people's judgement as to which is which.

As for your GW question:
Whether credence is given to the ideas lumped together as "Global Warming", the agreement or disagreement of informed people does not line up well with Liberal or Conservative views. You can't (or shouldn't) get your science from sound-bites. But you will get a lot of (IMO) jingoistic nonsense.

The "blame" you are referring to is not a stated proposition that the fires were CAUSED by Global warming, merely the idea that Global Warming has made larger, more destructive fires more likely. No sensible person believes that GW set the fires. Only that the fires would, in all probability, not be as severe if Global Warming had not advanced to the degree it has.

The libs are not uninformed or uneducated. They are using these events to advance their political agenda. AND IT IS DISGUSTING!
The fact is that it is the winds that caused the fire to spread and nullified the typically effective techniques used by firefighters.
It is just another sick example of libs using any and all means for political gain. I can only hope that the American people see this for what it is. Libs should be concerned only with getting these people the help they need. Scoring political points off of the misfortunes of others is just venal, but I guess that is all you can expect from a bunch of do nothing libs with an 11% approval rating!

The libs are saying that the land was a lot drier than normal causing the fires to be much worse (no matter how they were started) than usual because of Global Warming. When if fact the fires wouldn't have been so bad if people didn't build the homes in the wild fire areas.

i got an idea that i hav'nt read yet. how about we humans stop play in natures backyard. let nature do its natural thing. remember when, before man started putting out fires that nature started, the fires were never as severe as they are now. could it be that if man had left well enough alone that we would'nt have the raging fires we do now. Leave nature alone and it will clean up its own mess. case in point mount st. helens. prairie farmers used to burn off thier fields, rather than plow. why was that. how about the african plains. grass fires just before the rains. why is this? get my drift? stop fooling around with the nature of things. every time humans start "tweeking" things, it always windsup "thwaaking" everything.

Are you talking about politicians, or just the filthy ranting hippy you saw on the street, who Republicans would like to think represents anyone who disagrees with Bush...all I have heard is that much of the national guard equipment was in Iraq, which may or may not be true...except Dana Perino didn't deny it the other day, she just basically said the priority is Iraq.

So I guess supporting our soldiers dying for Muslim civil war = good and patriotic, while bringing them home while leaving more resources to deal with natural disasters = evil

Maybe we're not blaming the fires themselves on global warming, but one could reasonably argue that global warming has exacerated the problem.

Liberals don't think, they feel. Someone tells them something that they want to believe and it "feels" like it should be true then for them it is true, they are incapable of using logic which requires thoughts instead of feelings.
