The past week or so I've been feeling really tired and almost nauseous. It occured to me maybe I could be pregnant, but I had my period last week, so I don't know if it's too soon to be pregnant or if it was a pregnancy-period. I also haven't had the other symptoms of urinating frequently, vomitting, or breast tenderness. I don't want to waste a test if its not possible or too soon.

If you just had your period one week ago it's too soon assuming it was a normal period and there is no reason to think that it was pregnancy spotting. If you don't want to take two tests I would wait until your next period is due and if you are late then take a test. In the mean time just make sure to take care of yourself and don't anything risky(drinking, drugs...). I would have to guess you aren't pregnant though.

Try one day after your period is supposed to start. That is the general rule for these tests. Try and buy a pregnancy test that come with 2 tests. That way you can take the second test a couple days later, just to be on the safe side.

If you had a normal period last week, then its highly doubtful. You might be comming down with a bug or under stress. But, I can't say "no, you're not pregnant" because theres always a slim chance.

I'd say to go ahead and test, if it comes out negative (rememeber to use first pee in the AM!) and you're still feeling a bit off, call your doctor :).

Good luck.

was it a normal period? like the heaviness to it and stuff? cause usually when a girl "gets her period" when she is preg. its more like brownish and not as heavy and not as long. but thats the only way...it wouldn't be possible to be preg. yet if you really did just get your period a week ago. also the urinating and vomiting don't start occurring for at least 4 weeks into the preg.

I'd wait. Implantation bleeding isn't usually as heavy as a normal period, so if you had a normal one a week ago...I'd wait to take the test. It's most likely that you've just got a virus.

If you had your period last week, you would just be getting ready to ovulate. You get pregnant within 24 hours after you ovulate, and then it takes 6-10 days for the fertilized egg to implant, and then symptoms appear. You're not pregnant.

Its to early to tell! Heck, I didnt start having signs that I was pregnant till two months after I was pregnant, and I thought I was dying..You have to wait I think till you miss your period to tell, and since you had your period last week, chances are, its not going to pick it up.. Wait it out

they have a test over the counter now that detects the pregnancy three days pregnant. most are fairly accurate. but blood is the best test by a lab. ask your doc.
