How can i isolate the sulfuric acid from a car battery?

I need instutions on how to isolate the acid without getting hurt.

Best to get pure stuff. Battery acid will have nasty lead ions in it!

bring it to your local dump or transfer station for proper disposal. Some landfills charge a small disposal fee of three to five dollars per battery.
