I just got divorced a few months ago, I carry my ex husband's last name on my state Id, social security card and naturalization certificate, I am getting married in mid november, how is that going to play out? Do I have to use the name that appears on my documents or my name(not his)? If anyone knows from experience I would appreciate if you helped me. Thanks! : )

sounds like your married name is your legal name. that is the one you have to use. not a big deal. don't worry about it.
you do not have to change it back before you get remarried.
best of luck!!!

Go to a SSN office and get your name changes.
You can also get your name changed by filing a form with INS.
You could also get a drivers license withe he new name on your SSN card. You can call the banks and other places and send them copies of your new SSN. They will promptly do the change. You can get your new passport when you change your SSN card. A good place to start would be SSN office.

Also, think twice actually 100 times before you jump into a second marriage. Make sure that its not a rebound relationship...

Even if your divorce papers say your maiden name can be restored, the social security office, and state, etc., still see you as "Married Name" since you didn't change it.

There shouldn't be a problem.

And I would suggest looking up REBOUND RELATIONSHIPS before you jump from your recent divorce into another marriage.
