Can any one translate the following part of the constitution? I just need it reworded so it's easier for someone to understand:
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed. That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.

It says:

Yo, dude, King George; We think everyone was created by their Creator (God) to be equal and that everyone has the same right to be free. Since you aren't letting us be free like we'd like here in America, we also think it's ok if we don't listen to you anymore and make our own country.

The whole thing started a war because King George didn't approve so he sent his Army to disagree. Strangely enough, many of the guys that wrote this owned slaves...

Governments are made to protect the people's rights, and get their power from the people.
That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government
The people have a right to overthrow the govt and make a new one if the old one sucks
laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.

what they are trying to say in the beginning has to deal with the rights that everyone is born with which are life liberty an property(or the right to own property.

the next part say that in order for these rights to be protected a government must be formed. A government where the people give their consent (by voting) for the government to rule over them.


The last part states says that if the government was to fail at protecting these rights it is the rights of the people to get rid of the government(by impeachment of the president, voting for different representatives, or by a rebellion) and a new government Will be formed that will insure that these rights are protected and thus making everyone happy and safe.

While this is not part of the constitution and is not legally binding in any way, this part of the declaration of independence is basically stating the belief of the participants in the continental congress that the right to govern is delegated to the government by the people and when the rights of people held by people in a hypothetical existence without government are threatened and the means of addressing those problems are removed then the people have the right to use force to protect those inherent rights.

First of all, that's the Declaration of Independence, not the Constitution.

"Inalienable rights" means rights that can't be taken away. "Destructive of these ends" means either failing to recognize the rights of citizens or governing dictatorially, without the consent of the citizens. "[T]o alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government" means to change or overthrow the government radically, as in a revolution, something like what needs to happen again today to get rid of our government of the corporation, by the corporation, and for the corporation.
