By taking one day at a time and repeating this mantra..
"The pain, no matter how bad it is today, will not kill you."
I have severe chronic back pain 24/7. Some days aren't so terrible, others I cannot walk because of it. I never know when I will lose the use of my legs or for how long.
"Though my days are filled with pain, the pain does not fill my days."

I must admit I am not a big fan of pain-ouch!!
But if it is really bad I take panadol, neurofen,or similar pain relief. I went to the doctor today regarding pain, and he prescribed me voltarin as I have been getting tension headaches. I mostly went coz I was concerned about getting frequent headaches.

I am in pain from the minute i wake up until the minute i go to sleep. i have just learned to deal with it. it's always there in the background but i just carry on regardless. I have regular meds i take but if i feel different pain like a headache or sore throat i take paracetamol or nurofen Meltlets. they hit the spot.

You don't. You take as many pain killers as possible without dying, roll around on the floor making as much noise as possible and force people to sympathise with you!

pain, right? hmmm....how should I say this.....
You should just let it go...It's best if you consult your family, tell them all your pains....you could cry...as long as you won't hide it from everyone...be an optimistic, not a pessimist
I've experienced it and now, i feel guilty...
Just speak up, or face the consequences

Psychologically? I focus very intently on the sensation, record my category ( dull & throbbing, searing, burning, etc) for the sake of the doctor, then seek medical attention. Emotionally I blame everyone and everything except myself.
