After viewing myself in some home videos, I've come to the conclusion that I have a boring, monotoned voice. I've been told that before but it's just wierd hearing myself talk. I know a lot of people are self-conscious about their voice too, but is there any way of changing it? My voice is kind of deep and monotoned, how can I sound more enthusiastic and excited when i talk? Are there any exercises, books, or other things that can help??

I'd listen to some talk-show hosts and mimic their style. Remember, they tend to be over the top, but they also got their gig because of their voice talent. Notice how some speakers talk in almost a sing-song voice -- that is, the pitch goes up to create excitement and down to be more serious or ominous.
Also, when you go to a movie don't just sit there passively. Analyze the actor's voice. Their convincing voice is also why they got their gig -- especially the guys who do the Disney animated films. Get a recorder of some kind and record little impromptu speeches and listen back to yourself.
It'll take work. You've got years of habitually talking in monotone, but with sincere effort you can do it.
Then, you can sell me my next car! Good luck.

Singing is something that everybody can learn and improve. Of course, some are more naturally skilled than others, but even a poor voice can be overcome by dedication, practice, and more practice. Even if you're content to sing in the shower, there are some things you can do to improve your voice. This is probably the best online course to improve your singing skills https://tr.im/GrXol
Your golden voice will be ringing out in no time!

It's very possible to learn to sing well. You just need to know the right methods. Learn here https://tr.im/61Jve
Singing teachers will cost money and can be expensive so they're not for everyone. Singing can be learned so it's not an "either you have it or you don't" kind of thing.
Whether you sound like crap or you're decent, I recommend this singing course. It's one of the best methods to learn to sing well in a short amount of time. It's all about using efficient techniques that work.

There are plenty of resources out there to help you change the 'sound' of your voice, 90% of them are behavioral changes.
You can take a class at a local community college for public speaking, or join a local 'toastmaster's' group (check your community channel on cable, that's where ours advertises) . Another, perhaps more costly, measure is to go to a speak therapist.

If you went to a voice coach, they would have you talk into a recorder (or you can record your voice on your computer) and play it back. So in other words 'practice'

As soon as you find out - let me know. My husband's voice is SO monotone. He even laughs like Butthead. One of his good friend's called him Ray Romano if that tells you anything. Yes, it's that bad! lol
