If vet school is so hard to get into, why is Iowa State's Acceptance rate 90%?

This confises me because I have asked several times what vet schools are easier to get intoand no one said Iowa State when the percentage of accepted people is 90%!

Is this really true? I want to apply to vet school when I am older, and this seems pretty much like a safe addmitance school for me!

Have you considered all of the possible reasons? When people list off which schools they feel are easiest to get into, they may simply be omitting Iowa State, either because they just don't think to add or know nothing about the program there. Also, is Iowa State known for its vet school? If it's not, it may not be a first choice for those looking to go into the field.

Those stats appear to be general stats, not vet school-specific.

90% of undergraduates are admitted to Iowa State, not the vet school. You have to apply to the veterinary department when you are ready to enter the program, usually after you have received a bachelor's degree. You should be able to find admission statistics into the vet school under their vet school's website.

I think you have the wrong info. It took one of my relatives (who is one of the smartest people on the planet) two tries to get into veterinary school. They don't have many slots but they do have many applicants.
