Barry Bonds was not fired, his contract ran out at the end of this last season and it wasn't renewed. There is a big difference. Barry is so self centered he can't see the difference. He just wants everyone to think he's the victim. Wah!

The Giants used Barry's HR record pursuit to sell tickets last year. Now that the chase is over, he's not worth much to the Giants, and they don't want his bad attitude to affect the rest of the team. Plus, he's a lying, tax-evading, womanizing cheater.

He wasn't fired. His ego just can't accept the fact that he doesn't belong in the National League anymore. His subpar defense has been harmful for the Giants and he really has to be a DH. I'm sure he'll appreciate his time in San Fransisco when he's using excellent form to take it up the butt in jail. Cheater.

he wasnt fired. the giants didnt resign him. barry is done in the nl. he cant play in the field any longer. hes a part timer to the giants and they really need to move on.

i think he's done period. but he can be a part time DH in the al for a bad team and sell tickets to watch the freak show all time home run champ.

Because He broke the record wearing a ginats uniform and sold a lot of seats for the giants, but now that it is over they have no need for them. Also The giants are going for a younger team because in the 2007 season their average agae was 34

Because he broke the record and was no longer valuable to attract attention. And they know he very likely will be indicted for perjury - and he is a cheater. All in all - Baroid is a terrible person and has few fans outside the Bay area where they are willing to sacrifice honor for loyalty.

Many reasons really. Health, productivity, and negative attention. His health has declined, with good reason. To make the money he gets, you must play and produce more. And I'm sure not having him in the dugout next year will make it a completely new team. Other players on the team might get some recognition.

soon the world will confirm that he in fact did use HGH. aloshes like 45, cant play 2 games in a row, run or hit anything but 400 ft homeruns anymore. hes no longer the 5 tool player he was in Pittsburg, or the 4 tool player (lost his speed) from San Fran.
