To be honest I don't like the name Jayla at all. Maybe it has to do with the fact that my sisters name is Kayla. I've never heard of the name Jayla before. People would be constantly misunderstanding her name and calling her Kayla. That's just my opinion though. If you really like it--go for it.

I don't care for Jayla. It's part of the Jay name trend, like Jaden, Jaylen, Jayci, Jaydee, Jaymee, etc.
I do like Danae; I'm not sure about Denae. Why not use Danae as a first name? It's much more unusual and pretty.

I don't read babyname websites. I do worry about girls growing up in America, this is a hostile environment & it's not easy for grown women either.
If you are a married woman with an education and an independent income, name your daughter Jayla Denae if it's your preference.
Otherwise, please give her a name that will help her grow up strong and not a name that will sound precious to your teenaged friends.

Jayla sounds made up.
It reminds me of what the other posters said before me.
It is in that Jayden Jaelin Jayrah trend.
It sounds like a cross mix between Shayla, and Kayla.

I don't care for it, to be honest. Just another Jayden, Jaylen, Jayde, Jayda, Jaycey, Jayley, Jaydee, etc. A huge trend at the moment, and one I'd never consider adding my own child to.
