You may have lost your plug but that does not mean that you are in labor...when you start having reg. contractions, exactly 5 min apart or so, you may be in labor...if your water breaks or if you see any blood go straight to L&D......good luck!!!

no don't call 911 like the other person said above. It is OK don't get all upset. Call your DR. office sure there is an on-call Dr there. It is normal to lose the mucus plug early and you could go full term before you go into labor. But it could mean something. So yes call your doctor they will probably tell you to lay back and to come in in the morning to be seen. Good luck

Losing your mucus plug does not mean you are in labour. Mucus plugs should be clearish or brown with possible bloody show. I would ask your OB at your next appointment but I wouldn't worry. If your start getting contractions that are regular then go to the ER but I am sure that won't happen! And congrats on the pregnancy! :o)

I would call my doctor in the morning. I don't think it is any reason to freak over. I had a girl in my childbirth class that was dilated to 4cm for three weeks before she went into labor, which means she lost her mucus plug early.

Yes that is possible. Why are you waiting to get some answer. You may be playing with the life of an unborn, or soon to be still born. Immediately get to an ER and get checked out. Without the proper care a 30 wk premee has little or no chance. Do you want to be responsible and live with that the rest of your life?pp

yes, it is possible and no you aren't necessarily in labor....if you are concerned about this either call your ob/gyn or go to the emergency room......you may also want to check on WebMD....you may find some answers there. Many years ago when I was pregnant with my daughter, I lost a portion of my mucous plug. I called the doctor and he said not to worry that it would replace itself, but for your own peace of mind, call yours!!!!

Hey!
Losing your mucus plug can mean labour can happen within hours, days or maybe within a few weeks.

I lost mine at 32 weeks and then didn't have my baby until 11 days after my due date.
Trust me you'll know it when labour starts-I was worried about not knowing when i was in labour and then when it happened...!

Losing your mucus plug is a sign you are going to be in labour soon...when you start feeling pains thats labour lol. The baby is just ready so make sure your hospital bag is ready...and don't forget a pillow.
