Well Sir, I do use the quote "You know what I'm saying" at the end of a sentence, but it's on a small scale though.

Cheers and have a nice week ahead :)

OMG, my boss at the Commack Pizza-Deli used to say that all the time. I basically quit that job(when I was 15) because he said that all the time. a typical sentence from him:Yo, I need you to go clean out the bathroom and when your done make this guy a turkey wrap, You know what Im saying?

Usually not, but for some reason I got started doing it and Could Not Stop! (you know what I'm saying?)

If it's a situation where you possibly can do this, a good cure would be to grap the person and give them the best *()+ they every had.

It's better than starting every sentence with "So I says to the guy, I says"

When people don't laugh or show a sign of understanding I say it. So that would be pretty much every sentence.

No. But I have done that before. In the times that I have done it, I used it after explaining a point that I was making. I used it just to clarify that the person I was talking to understood what I was saying. Additionally I have also said: Know what I mean, Get what I'm saying, Do you get it, etc.

No. I try very hard not to speak like others by speaking the best English that I can. I find that using proper English in the work place and other venues will garner you automatic respect. I never completed High School......but I don't speak street to confirm that stigma.
