I assume your question is only in reference to the animal kingdom and not the human race. Bears have no natural enemies that will hunt them down and try for a kill. However, this may not hold true for very young cubs or a grown bear that has become ill and on the verge of death. As one poster stated A pack of wolves will not pass up the opportunity to take either one of these chances. Cougars may fall into this group as well and may take a young unprotected cub. Also, full grown "Boars" (male bears) will take a cub if given the opportunity by a young inexperienced "Sow" (female bear). However, sows will fight to the death to defend their young and a boar knows this, so will usually not take a chance on receiving a life threatening injury in a scuffle, for such a small meal. Other than those scenarios, no animal will take a live healthy grown bear, unless it has already expired and is carrion for the whole of nature to feast on anyway. Hope this answers your question.

What Eats Bears

People eat bear but their number one predator is other larger bears. Apparently large bears will kill smaller bears (especially of the same sex) whenever they get the chance. And yes they will eat them afterwards!

But for most bears these are the only common natural predators. The exception would be the really small bears like the Malay sun bear. They may have other predators as well. And of course the polar bear which often swims long distances may well be attacked by orca's (killer whales). Wolves may attack a bear over a kill dispute but it is unlikely that they actually kill and eat many. It is more likely they harass the bear until it leaves the kill.

Do a search on metacrawler.com for malay sun bear and see.

Human beings eat bears for their meat. The Inuit have been hunting them for years.
There are parts of asia where tigers and bears both live in the same enviroment but I doubt that a tiger would be interested in eating a bear. In Siberia, tigers and bears often come into conflict with each other and sometimes fight. But one usually drives off the other. The fight does not usually end in death.
A pack of hungry wolves will attack almost anything including a bear.It does happen sometimes but it is rare.

If it's a black bear, I guess a pack of hungry wolves could do it. And I've heard of Orca's killing polar bears on occasion.
