I am a New Zealand Maori. My ancestors were a wild bunch who warred with other Maori and colonists at the settling of this country. My maternal ancestors came from a place in the Queen Charlotte Sounds at the top of the south Island of New Zealand and my paternal ancestors came from Taranaki in the North Island. Folk change over the centuries and Im not so wild. Only sometimes!

Lol. Born in Hawaii, heritage is Swiss, Irish and Scandinavian. I hate snow, so I am nothing like the original roots.

I was born in Brooklyn, NY USA. My heritage is Guyanese and St. Lucian. I would say that I am similar to my original roots. I eats the foods, listen to the music, and speak the dialect of my people.

My sister traveled with a friend to her Irish home, and the people looked at my sister and started asking questions, because, sure enough, our relatives from the 12th century were in the next county over, and They Recognized My Sister!

WV. My ancestors were German, Irish, Cherokee, and English. I've always related best to my German side. I'm studying German language and culture, so yes, I guess I am like my roots.
